Rarity: Shire-Horse-Mix, academically worked - Due to an absolute lack of time, we are tearfully looking for a new, loving home with a family connection for Marlowe. ❤️ Due to a change in his circumstances (emigration), Marlowe has not been worked for two years and has been allowed to enjoy his life on several hectares of meadow. However, he clearly needs a job and loving people who will give him a species-appropriate life and also meet his physical needs for biomechanically correct training. Of course, cuddling should not be neglected! Despite his imposing stature, Marlowe is a sensitive little man who needs a clear and secure person at his side. He acknowledges unfair behavior towards him accordingly, he needs a lot of praise and positive feedback (like every horse). Marlowe has basic training in academic ground work, i.e. lateral movements at the walk and basic longe work at the cavečon in all basic gaits. He was ridden with four reins with a 3 to 1 rein lead. From the saddle, the lateral gaits can still be improved and he is piaffeed from the ground and from the saddle, which of course also requires further work. We have also incorporated approaches from the Bückeburg Riding School into Marlowe's training, as too much detail and attention to detail demotivates him. Marlowe really enjoys free work in the round pen, where he responds incredibly well to body language! Anyone who enjoys circus lessons will certainly also find Marlowe an open-minded pupil. As a cold-blooded horse, he needs short work phases with appropriate breaks. We have never worked him for longer than 30 minutes, and if a session was very good, we ended it earlier. That's why Marlowe is always motivated and looks forward to working with his human. We have occasionally gone for walks in the field, where Marlowe is interested but relaxed. We can imagine him as a good cross-country horse with the right training. Unfortunately, Marlowe doesn't like trailer driving at all. This only works with patience and a loooong breath. Due to his breed, Marlowe occasionally has problems with moulting, which requires a certain amount of preventative care in the long term. Our experience has also been that he relieves stress through his skin. Regular detox treatments with herbs have helped well in this case. Marlowe is a barehoofed horse and needs very close hoof care. The hoof trimmer should have a lot of patience and perseverance, you won't get very far with Marlowe with force and anger. The teeth were worked on in December 2022 shortly before our move. (Unfortunately, we have not yet managed to attract an equine dentist to our new home... ) So there is a need for action here. Marlowe has been selectively wormed regularly. Apart from that, Marlowe is healthy and lively and is waiting for new challenges! We would like a home for him where he has at least a paddock box with daily access to pasture or paddocks or a well-organized, sensibly managed open stable with enough space, sufficient lying areas and hay ad libitum. We currently give him six kilos of hay in a net three times a day in winter. In summer, after a sufficient grazing phase, he can live in the meadow 24/7. A lattice box in a closed stable is out of the question for Marlowe. Marlowe will be sold including all equipment: adjustable baroque saddle by Amazona model Birgitta (Deuber & Partner), high-quality baroque double bridle with peacock baroque bit and semicavečon, cavečon for ground work and lunging, all made of black leather.
Unfortunately, a test ride is not possible due to the lack of training, but Marlowe can be met from the ground!
I only answer serious letters and would like you to write something about yourself.🙏🏻🤗
