Andvari is a large-framed, powerful gelding bred in Germany and free of eczema. He is a four-gaited horse with clearly defined gaits. All gaits are easily accessible; his favorite gait is the tölt. Andvari has a rather calm temperament and can therefore be ridden without any problems by small children and inexperienced adults. He is currently barefoot but is accustomed to being shod. Trips in a horse trailer are also no problem, for example, to explore unfamiliar terrain. He is comfortable on the road and is used to tractors, trucks, dogs, cyclists, etc. Out on the trail, he moves with deep relaxation, whether alone or in a group. In the riding arena and on the oval track, he tends to conserve his energy. He is currently used as a school horse, where he feels at home; he is well-behaved, decent, and occasionally funny. Andvari lives in a mixed herd in an open stable, where he shows off his clowning skills when interacting with his playmates.
