Wonderful Tinker gelding looking for new home - are looking for a new home for our Flocky.

He has been living with us for a year. He came to us in a pretty bad condition and was nursed up the first months. During this time it also turned out that he suffers from crown skin on the left front (x-rays from mid 2021 are available, current pictures will be taken soon). He is a very insecure horse who needs to relate to a human and live in a group. He is not skittish. He knows all farm equipment, cars, train, barking dogs..... Sometimes he forgets that he is no longer a stallion and reacts very timidly, especially with strange mares, but always remains manageable.
It takes him a long time to build up trust and he is very reluctant to let strangers touch his head or legs. This is probably due to not so nice experiences in the past.
All in all, he is not a bad horse if you invest time in him and work him according to his condition. Quiet rides in moderate terrain (no long steep downhill passages) are definitely possible.
Unfortunately he can't stay with us in the long run, because we have quite hilly and steep pastures in the summer, which is not really beneficial for his crown shell.
